Five Ecumen owned and managed sites in Minnesota have received a “Best Nursing Home” rating by U.S. News & World Report magazine.

U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 homes nationwide, across every state and in 100 major metropolitan areas to create its Nursing Home Finder. This year less than 20 percent of nursing homes earned the designation of a “U.S. News Best Nursing Home” based on performance.

The five “high performing” Ecumen sites are Ecumen Pathstone Living in Mankato, Ecumen Detroit Lakes in Detroit Lakes, Ecumen Lakeshore in Duluth, Ecumen North Branch in North Branch, and Ecumen-managed Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park.

Now in its ninth year, the U.S. News Nursing Home Finder offers comprehensive information about care, safety, health inspections, staffing and more for almost all nursing homes in the country. This tools provides customized searches for nursing homes by location, Medicare and Medicaid coverage, Alzheimer's care and size. The Nursing Home Finder reflects U.S. News's analysis of data collected and published by the federal government using a methodology defined by U.S. News.
