The popular Skyway Senior Center in Minneapolis has a funding crunch, and Ecumen received approval from the Minneapolis City Council this week to study the center’s work and possibly assume responsibility for its operation.

Star Tribune reporter Eric Roper gives the background on the center, which offers classes, programming and entertainment to seniors in the area.

Ecumen has 120 days to complete its assessment and decide whether it wants to operate the center, located behind the downtown Target store.
