Join Ecumen at the Minnesota State Fair today.  Ecumen is WCCO Radio’s broadcast partner for Day 5 of the Minnesota State Fair on Monday, August 29, which is Senior & Kids Day. Ecumen employees will be answering questions about healthcare careers, housing, home care and hospice, and handing out medication containers (while supplies last).

Visit Ecumen on Monday at the WCCO Radio Booth located at Underwood and Carnes near the Ye Old Mill. Fairgoers can also meet WCCO Radio personalities throughout the day and listen in on a special broadcast of Live Outdoors with Ron Schara from 7-8 p.m. Ecumen employees will be answering questions about healthcare careers, housing, home care and hospice, and handing out medication containers (while supplies last) in the booth area until approximately 6 p.m.

August 29 is also Minnesota State Patrol Day. The State Patrol will be at Expo Place to demonstrate an array of tools it uses to keep Minnesota’s roadways safe. Stop by for an up-close look at a State Patrol helicopter, Special Response tactical gear, vintage squad cars and motorcycles, crash reconstruction project, DWI testing station, rollover simulator and more.

The National Park Service will celebrate Centennial Day on Monday, August 29, too. Minnesota’s six national parks will host activity stations that will educate, entertain and inspire fairgoers to get to know and treasure national parks. Collect an exclusive State Fair-only stamp as part of the National Park Service passport program.

Monday’s Grandstand entertainment is the Happy Together Tour 2016 featuring some of the most popular bands and performers of the 60s and 70s. These groups collectively produced many hit singles including, “Happy Together,” “One,” “Young Girl,” “Kicks,” “The Rain, The Park & Other Things” and “Gimme Some Lovin’.”

Today is the kick-off to Minnesota State Fair, which runs through Labor Day. Over 1.7 million visitors are welcomed to the Fairgrounds located in St. Paul, Minnesota, each year.
