Zvago Glen Lake Cooperative, a senior housing community opening in the spring of 2017 on the north shore of Glen Lake in Minnetonka, is hosting a seminar on how to move to a new home. It will be held Oct. 26, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gold Nugget Tavern & Grill at 14401 Excelsior Boulevard in Minnetonka.
Diane Bjorkman of Gentle Transitions will share tips to ensure the moving process goes smoothly. Her program includes discussions on the art of downsizing; what to do with all the “stuff”; packing tips; and moving day. Gentle Transitions has more than 16 years of experience moving thousands of households.

Senior cooperatives are communities where residents buy shares of the corporation that owns the building — an ownership structure that offers financial advantages similar to traditional home ownership, along with lower costs of entry than many condominiums or townhomes. Zvago is being developed by OneTwoOne Development, a partnership between Ecumen and Lifestyle Communities, a Bloomington-based development company. This is Ecumen’s first senior cooperative project and is being marketed to active adults 62 and older. Two similar co-op communities are now in development — Zvago St. Anthony Park in downtown St. Anthony Park in St. Paul and Zvago Central Village in Apple Valley.
